I was playing Diablo 3, and I heard a good quote by the Archangel Tyrael, the guardian of justice. The main character is trying to rally the troops to fight an overwhelming demon army. The main character fears his unit army is not enough to mount an assault against legion. Archangel Tyrael informs the main character to have confidence with the following quote.
"Their numbers may be greater but do not fear demons b/c their worst enemy is their self-destructive behavior. They fight amongst themselves, so confident of their impeding victories that they turn on each other for the spoils they have never seen yet they claim"
In so many words, he is saying evil spends too much time trying to prevent someone that should be ally from advancing because they feel the spoils are meant for them. In the end, demons will turn on each other and their numbers will dwindle down thus they are their own enemy. Then, that will be the main character's opportunity for victory!
