According to ign.com Warner Brothers has announced the next title in the Batman: Arkham franchise will be Batman: Arkham Origins, currently in development for PC, Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.
Developers stole a page from Tomb Raider: Origins gameplan and took Batman to the beginning of his journey as a hero. The Batman: Arkham Origins akes place before the events of any Arkham title, when a young and inexperienced Batman will will encounter many familiar villians for the first time.
Batman Arkham Origins will have an unreal because Rocksteady Studios will not be a part of this game's development.
Also, a handheld title named Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate will be released for the PS Vita and 3DS. Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate takes place after Arkham Origins and the handheld game is being developed by Armature Studio. Armature Studio was founded by developers from the Metroid Prime Trilogy, so expect some fast paced action. Both games are expected to be released together on October 25, 2013.
