1998, at the age of 17, he begin to join the proffesional team as a substitute player. He was loved by the manager and fans for his accurate passing and perfect finish at that time. He started training harder and building more confidence to play and was slowly imporving.
He only took 5 years to become the captain of the first team. At this time, people started loving him more as for his matured attitude on handling tough situations. At that moment, he did not only proof to the world that he was good in football, he also proved how calm he was when handling tough situations and fights on the pitch
He ended his career as a Liverpool Legend at 2015, where he still continued being a first team player and was the captain for 12 long years. He also showed that he was a gentleman inside and outside the stadium as he visits the Hospital of Liverpool often just to cheer someone elses day up.
This is the man that got me interestered in supporting Liverpool and also to play football. It is difficult to find a man like him and he still remains as a legend to us Liverpool fans.
