This week for the A2Z Challenge we have reached the letter 'P' in the alphabet and the prompt word is PALE.
I didn't have a clue what I was going to do for this manicure and it was only after a quick search through my Helmer that I stumbled across Gargantuan Green Grape by OPI which I picked up from a nail polish sale last year. To me, it is the perfect choice for a pale manicure.
A few weeks ago my colleague Amy wore a beautiful duck egg blue blouse with a bold black floral image on and I knew it would be perfect for a nail design so I figured now was the perfect opportunity to give it a whirl.
Hers is a picture of Amy's top which inspired the design. |
I am not sure whether I have the blue toned version of GGG or the original green version but all I can say is I love love love this colour and the fabulous crelly formula and the tone of the polish worked perfectly in terms of the beautiful blouse which inspired the mani.
Obviously, as this is a nail art challenge, I couldn't just paint my nails and leave it at that so I reached for my new Uber Chic plates. I stamped a floral image from the plate on my pinky finger and thumb then opted for the complementary image which matches the design of the single flower used on my ring finger but is a somewhat zoomed in version.

I finished the manicure with a coat of my brand new polish purchased from AEngland, Morgan LeFay. I have been after a sparkly topper like this for a while so I was glad to see this as their Star of The Month for February (currently still on offer at the time of writing this blog post) so snapped it up at a bargain price and needless to say I was not disappointed. I think it looks perfect over the green base of GGG.
Charlie, the author of Pocket Money Polishes has thoughtfully pulled together a blog post which catches up with all of the ladies who are taking part in this weekly challenge. Some of the ladies, like myself, didn't get to take part in the 'Introduction' blog post so this is a perfect way for you go get to catch up with us and find out what our favourite manicures are of this challenge so far. The blog post can be found by clicking here.
