Nars Dare to Gleam

Nars keeps releasing amazing and beautiful products lately! I have a couple of products to show you today but have also just received a new face palette from the Summer collection and bought the new Orgasm palette. So expect more from Nars very soon!

This new collection, the Dare to Gleam - the Fever Dream collection, offers a cheek palette and a face/eyeshadow palette housed in the most beautiful and colorful packaging ever! This seriously brings a smile on my face everytime I use them :D
There is also a brush set and new lip duos as well as some glosses.

Nars Exposed Cheek Palette
This limited edition cheek palette contains 6 universally flattering shades.

Tell All (pearlescent golden pink)
Now or Never (satin terracotta)
Give it Away (satin nude)
Make You Mine (satin peach)
Come Hither (satin watermelon)
New Fling (satin fuchsia)

The texture is super fine and soft. The colors are sheer but buildable. They can be used dry or wet.
One of my favorite in this palette is the pearlescent gold at the top left of the first raw. It works really well as highlighter and give a beautiful sheen on the skin, with a wet look. It looks really healthy and that's definitely one of my favorite highlighters ever.
I also really like the satin fuchsia. It looks a bit intimidating in the pan but as it has a sheer-to-buildable coverage, it's easy to apply and gives a pretty flush of pink color on the cheeks.
And oh yeah....do we really neeed to mention the packaging?....!!

Wild Thing Face Palette
This limited edition palete contains four eyeshadows in matte and shimmering finishes, featuring complementary blush and highlighter to heighten and brighten.

Eyeshadow:
Alive(matte warm tan)
Psyched (matte chestnut brown)
Erratic (neutral shimmering beige)
Lala (shimmering deep bronze)

Highlighter
No Limit (true yellow gold)

Blush
Goddess Complex (golden shimmering peach)

This palette is such a convenient palette because it contains 4 eyeshadows that really allow you to create a nice look. The colors are quite universal and they're nicely pigmented, soft and easy to blend. In addition you also get an highlighter and a blush! Perfect to travel with, isn't it?
The highlighter of this palette is super pigmented. I didn't expect that much pigmentation for an highlighter, honestly. Due to the pigmentation, it works also really well as eyeshadow to pack all over the lid.

Undressed Lip Duo - in Walkyrie
In this duo, you get a mini Velvet Matte Lip Pencil and glossy Lip Tint. I think the lip tint is a new formula from Nars, I had never seen it. They can be worn alone or you can start with the lip pencil and add the lip tint on top.
The lip tint is really nice. I love how glossy it is and the texture is particularly thin (like a tint in fact). As the texture is so thin, it's not sticky at all. It feels also very comfortable and don't dry the lips. I have been using this lip tint a lot lately!
This lip tint has really a texture and finish I love and I hope that Nars will come with more of them!

New Lip Glosses
These new lip glosses come in a semi-sheer and non sticky formula that feels moisturizing.
I have 2 of them: Love Me Do, a medium pink, and Color Me, an unusual sheer lavender gloss.
Love Me Do has more pigment and gives an almost solid pink color on the lips while Color Me is more subtle. It gives a wash off colors and actually looks super flattering. The texture is not thick nor thin and it feels nourishing.

Finally, Relentless is a bit different. It's a shimmery, transluscent gloss that is dispensed via a silicone applicator for an utra smooth application. It can be used on the eyes, lips and cheeks!! I didn't know you could use it on the eyes and only realized it while writing this article. I've just tried it on the eyes and wow it does look nice. What I like it that it doesn't feel heavy or sticky on the lids. That's definitely a good idea if you want a quick and original look as you can wear it on its own without any shadows and you already get a look.

Kabuki Brush Set
This brush set is the only item I'm not really a fan of in this collection. It contains the Hanamachi Kabuki Brush, Ita Kabuki Brush, Kabuki Eye Brush, and Kabuki Precision Eye Brush. The 2 eye brushes are really good but I'm less convinced by the face brushes.

You can see the products in action in this video I made for IG:

Overall this limited edition is fantastic! The packaging is gorgeous and the products just amazing. If I had to pick only 1-2 items in this collection I would go for the cheek palatte and the lip duo!
What about you?
